As of September 10, 2026, the US PlayStation Store lists Standard at US$79.99 and Ultimate at US$99.99: a US$20 difference. These are US digital-store prices; check your own region for local pricing and offer terms.

What the Ultimate collection adds
The Ultimate listing covers more than character outfits. Examples include the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, personalized pistols, safehouse vehicles and additional customization. It also describes a gang-compound activity and a classic-car restoration commission.
Several named businesses are exclusive to the edition, including Rideout Customs and Sara’s Unisex Salon. If vehicle collecting and character styling are your main interests, read those entries before deciding whether the added cost suits you.

Extra items arrive through the story
The listing says bonus items appear across story chapters, with the Cheetah associated with later action. Buying Ultimate therefore does not establish that every extra will be waiting at the beginning.
A separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade page exists, but it was unavailable for purchase when checked. Its presence does not confirm a future standalone price or guarantee that upgrading later will cost the same as today’s edition difference.

Choose around the extras you value
Standard is the lower-cost choice for starting the base game. Ultimate makes sense if its listed collection is worth the extra expense to you. Do not count the shared preload or preorder pack as an Ultimate-only benefit.
The included GTA+ month requires a separate claim and continues into paid renewal unless canceled. Treat that decision separately from choosing an edition.
