What comes with the box?
Rockstar lists a boxed Standard version containing a game-download code. A physical Ultimate version is not listed; a boxed Standard owner can buy the digital Ultimate upgrade after redeeming the game code. Compare the edition extras in our separate Standard-versus-Ultimate guide.

Will the code work with a Taiwan account?
For GTA VI PlayStation codes, Rockstar groups Taiwan with Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Its Xbox section says the GTA VI codes are not region-locked. This statement concerns the game code, not every Xbox gift card, subscription or promotional offer.
Check the actual code’s platform and territory marking. Rockstar recommends buying from a retailer in your platform account’s country. For a country outside the listed Taiwan group, consult the full official table before ordering; a translated storefront does not establish code compatibility.

Redeem on PlayStation using the intended account
PlayStation Taiwan documents these PS5 steps. The code is used once, and PlayStation says redeemed content cannot be moved between accounts. Check the signed-in account before the final confirmation.
- Open PlayStation Store and press Triangle to access the menu.
- Choose … (More), then Redeem Codes, and enter the 12-character code.
- Confirm the redemption. Choose Download when the content is available to download, or return to it later.

Redeem an Xbox code through Microsoft
Open Microsoft’s code-redemption support page below and follow its Redeem Code link. Sign in to the Microsoft account that should receive the game, then enter or paste the code and follow the prompts.
A redemption page used in a PC browser does not establish a PC version of GTA VI. Check the product and console shown on the code. If you bought the wrong code, Microsoft directs you to the retailer.

When can a boxed copy start downloading?
Rockstar gives November 12, 2026 at local midnight as the preload start. Retail shipping and pickup are expected from November 12; that is not a guarantee that your particular order arrives then. Preloading does not grant early play.

Before buying a used box or giving one as a gift
A box alone does not establish that its code is unused. For PlayStation, a code that has already been redeemed cannot be used a second time. Keep the receipt and ask the seller to identify what you are buying before paying.
- For a gift, check the recipient’s console and account region before choosing the product.
- Read the seller’s return conditions before opening or redeeming anything; this guide does not promise a refund.
- If redemption fails, record the exact error and use the platform’s official support route. Do not post the full code publicly.
